When hearing the words 'BeautifulGrim' and being touched by Cat's story, all I could draw for weeks were beautiful women with such sorrowful faces. Then I got a email from a young lady who got one of my post-its that I tag everywhere I go. It seems her boyfriend was walking down the street when he came across this heart looking back at him. He took it home and gave it to his girlfriend, she smiled at the odd little heart on a pink post-it note. I was moved that my quick doodle brought happiness to someone i've never met.
After that email, it freed me up. I no longer looked at 'BeautifulGrim' as something sad and sorrowful. Rather, it took on new meaning. Life is short, its best to fill it with as many smiles as we can get. Hopefully your smiling now as you look at this doodle.
